I watched the news today, and saw something interesting. I published my book, All In: The Globe Trot Shuffle on March 11, 2016. Now I’m hearing about Panama papers, Panama Leaks, Offshore Leaks, off shore businesses, and offshore banking.
Now my story DOES NOT include any of the real people that are involved with these leaks. It also DOES NOT include any real company or any real offshore businesses being talked about. It’s my own fictionalized tale where my characters do the same type of money laundering. The story is a group of four US Marines who discover money in Iraq during the Invasion. They need to find a way to bring the money home, and make it legit.
I won’t go further into the book details. You’ll just have to check it out on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/All-Globe-Trot-Shuffle-Warden-ebook/dp/B01CVHVHRE/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8). But it’s interesting to see how I wrote about these kind of offshore dealings a month before a big scandal erupts. And the way I describe the offshore dealings is how it’s being described on the news right now.
Remember, my tale is fiction. But what they do happens everyday in real life. My characters are involved in economic citizenship in the Caribbean. An offshore business, or International Business Corporation is set up on one island. And an offshore account for that IBC is set up on another island nation. They are then able to legitimize their money that way, and use it in the US on their own business dealings. Sounds so familiar doesn’t it? Because you saw the same kind of dealings on the news.
Here’s a little sneak peek of the section in my book that deals with offshore businesses:
Well for one vacation, I was in St Kitts and Nevis with a coworker. We kinda threw a dart on a map. Anyways, while there, I heard about this thing called economic citizenship. You could basically buy citizenship. Either through investing, paying, or buying property. Several countries do it, especially a few of these Caribbean ones. Even Dominica does it, and it’s a commonwealth of the UK. So I could travel to or live in other UK affiliated places.
Anyways, I use my salary to buy a passport, and citizenship. That process takes around a year. So in the meantime, I started asking around about how to keep money off the radar. I was told that I could set up an International Business Company in St Kitts and Nevis. Basically a LLC that’s hard to trace. And I’d just let it sit. Like the photography LLC I made out of California while on vacation. Well this offshore business is off the books, and off the radar of the US.
I then found out I could open an offshore account in Dominica for this LLC I made in St. Kitts and Nevis. Also off of the radar of the US. They’re discreet, and don’t share info. I’ve been putting part of my salary into that account. So this LLC is a few years old, and has some money already. And the benefits of an offshore account is that it’s numbered, not named. And hard for the US to find.
We gotta do something to get this cash to you guys. You guys all could make your own LLC’s when you get home. As soon as you guys get the paperwork done, my offshore business can make a 2.5 million dollar investment in each of your guy’s companies. It’s not actually an investment, it’ll just be a series of purchases.

That’s just a sneak peek of my copyrighted material. It talks about the subject more. I think this will be an interesting read. The story starts out with Marines during the Invasion of Iraq. Then after they get out. One is a contractor, back in Iraq working for the military. After they get their discovery back, they need to move it across the world. And it’s a story full of action because they face a few struggles along the way. There’s action, adventure, romance, and plenty of thrilling suspense.
