Reaper’s Claim, Satan’s Sons MC Romance Series by Simone Elise

Here’s my standard disclaimer. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. A rating will follow this review on Goodreads and Amazon.

I review books based on the story itself. I’m not an editor and I’m not reading these books to proof them for Authors. I’ve read classics or best sellers with mistakes in them. The only time I will let mistakes effect my review is if the mistakes made reading the book cumbersome. At that point, I will just give it a lower number rating while reviewing the actual story itself.

I don’t like reading a review that is basically the back cover blurb, or something that gives away too much of the story. Personally, I like suspense. I like to discover the details of the story as I read them. So, please enjoy this spoiler free book review!

I’m happy to announce that the nineteenth book I’m reviewing on my blog is a book called REAPER’S CLAIM: Satan’s Sons MC Romance Series by Simone Elise.

Reaper’s Claim is an Erotica, Action & Adventure, Romance.  It centers around Satan’s Sons Motorcycle Club and its members.  I would like to say that this is the first time I read a MC romance.  This is not the usual kind of book I read.  I see that MC romances are very popular in the Amazon Best Seller lists, and now I can see why.  This story was nothing of what I expected, and that’s a good thing.

Before I started this book, I thought it’d be a very cheesy romance between a girl and a biker.  This was anything but that.  There’s action, drama, and suspense.  The daughters of a club leader are portrayed like real teen girls.  The bikers are bikers, but not as one dimensional as you’d think.  I thought the book would be full of raunchy scenes, but that wasn’t the focus on the story.  There’s forbidden romance between members of the club and girls who should be off limits.  There’s power dynamics between the characters.  Abby and Kim’s attitudes often switch, which was a nice touch.  They’re multi-faceted.  Reaper is brooding, but packed full of real emotions.  There’s also fighting with other clubs, which ups the suspense factor.  You don’t know what to expect.

I was surprised by this story and how much I enjoyed it.  It kept my interest and I wanted to finish it.  The only thing I didn’t like was the ending, but book series tend to do that. I recommend this book to others who like a suspenseful romance with lots of action. I rate this book 4 out of 5!
